Been very quiet on here so I thought I'd add the following that relates to the forum memebers :
Steve Hanby : A great run of form saw Steve end the season with 7 wins which lifted him from 14th into the Runners Up spot and a place in the Champions League. The only time Steve appeared in the top 3 was in week 19.
Neil Barnes : Seven draws and a win in the last 8 games lifted Barnsey from 19th place to 5th and turned a relegation fight into Champions League qualifying games against Ian Airton in the new season.
Fluke67 : Mark’s last day win lifted him to 6th spot and set up a Champions League qualifier against Ian Blakeston the League Cup Runner Up. Probably a little disappointing after being in the top 4 places from week 1 to week 14.
Paul Smailes : Only 2 wins from the last four games saw Smailsey fall away from 4th to 7th. Claimed a place in the Champions League qualifiers where he’ll take on Europa League Runner Up Ron Cowie. Paul led the table for weeks 1 and 2 before dropping as low as 15th.
Darren Lough : With only a few weeks where Darren was outside the top 10, he was always looking like getting into the Champions League qualifiers.
Jon Mitchell : Only 2 defeats from the last 7 games helped Jonny climb from mid table to a top 10 place and give a chance of reaching the Champions League via the qualifiers.
Alan Kitchen : Two important wins to round of the season and keep Kitch in the Premier division. A run of 5 games without a win took Alan into the relegation zone but his late rally saved the day.
Simrod1 : With only 4 points taken from a possible 21, the season ended just in time for Simon, a drop from 5th to 14th means no European adventure next season.
Pwjwlwaw : A poor season for Paul saw him fighting the drop and was regularly in a relegation place until the last 5 weeks, where 3 wins and a draw pulled himup to 16th place.
Abi Mitchell : Despite winning her last game, Abi fell through the relegation trapdoor on number of goals scored. 3 defeats in the last 5 matches saw Abi drop from 13th and she along with Neil Rowan drop down after only one season at the top level.
My old man said : Frankie, also drops down a division following a poor season when the highest weekly placement was 13th in week 1. Three of Frankie’s six wins came in the last 5 weeks. Too little too late.
Sopster : Some are saying that Robbies failure to submit his entries lately is the reason that he faces next season in the First Division. However his only win in the last 6 weeks was the default coupon. The Sopster never climbed above 12th place all season and joins his father in law in the “fizzy pop” division next season.
Neil Rowan : A disastrous run of 11 defeats from the last 12 matches saw Neil plummet down to bottom spot. Neil had a regular place in the top 10for the opening 11 weeks. Neil has request he drop down the divisions into to compete with a few of his mates, which will allow an extra promotion place from Div 1.
DIVISION ONE
GRS1 : A steady season where Geoff was only outside the top 10 for one week culminated in a 5 match unbeaten run to clinch the 4th spot and promotion to the Premier.
Elephant Man’s Hat : A terrible run of form robbed Ian from automatic promotion and a cash award. Only 1 win in the final 6 games and a player that always in the top 3 from week 1 to week 17 finished the season in 5th place. Neil Rowans decision to drop down a few divisions opens the door for Ian to compete in the premier next season.
Fastbaz : Three defeats in a row put pay to promotion and despite a last day win Barry fell just short of promotion but has claimed his place in the Champions League because of Geoff Strong’s success in both the League and Champions League.
Farpost 11 : Three defeats on the trot halted Dougies promotion challenge and sees him finish in 8th place and claim a Europa League place.
Tobyminakona02 : Steve’s promotion challenge fell away when he went on a run of 4 successive defeats, a win 3 weeks ago gave him a kick start but Steve finished with 2 more defeats and ended in 9th place. Steve has pulled out of next season.
Magpie : A great start to the season, then a mediocre few weeks saw Alan drop down 12th spot, a last day win lifted Alan back to 11th and a Europa League place was achieved.
Quinns Disco Pants : Two wins a and a draw in the final 3 games lifted John up to 12th place and into next season’s Europa League.
Jeff29 : Jeff’s last two games ended in defeats and dropped him out of the top 10, however a Europa League place beckons because barry Brown has been bumped into the Champions League.
Steve Colvin : Steve’s upturn in form came too late to save him, 4 points from the last 6 meant relegation on goals scored.
Swifty Bilko : A very inconsistent season sees back to back relegations for Simon. Looked like he was on the up following 3 straight wins in March, but a run of 7 games with only 1 win dropped Simon back to 18th place and second division predicting next time out.
DIVISION TWO
Dave Gilbert: Although not in the top 4, it looks like promotion will still be achieved because of events in the higher divisions. Dave had a good run mid season when he held top spot for 3 weeks, since then he has always been in contention to go up and pulled out wins when they were needed.
Cheeky Martha : A disappointing end to the season with 4 defeats saw Paul finish 14th and just outside the Europa League places.
Vicvinyl : Dave always flirted with relegation and despite winning 4 of his last 5 games, couldn’t avoid the drop finishing in 17th place.
Fast Greyhound : Similar story for Andrew, been in the bottom three since week 10 and a late rally of 6 points from the last 9 wasn’t enough to lift him from the bottom of the table.
DIVISION THREE
Mike Chiswell : One defeat in the last 8 games paved the way for promotion and a cash award. Mike has only been outside the top 3 places once all season and that was 4th spot in week 2. Only a great run from dave Laybourne of 19 points from 21 denied Mike the Championship.
Sean Wilson : Another player that has always been in contention for the championship, never below 5th since week 5. Defeat on the final day by Chis robbed Sean of the title.
Bluemoon : Promotion achieved but not quite able to squeeze into the top 3, Paul has been in 4th place for the last 5 weeks and the only defeat in the last 5 games kept Paul away from any prizemoney.
Paul Lockney : Never far away from the top 4, three defeats in the last 5 games kept Paul outside the top 4 places. Promotion is still likely because of events in higher divisions.
Jon McIlvaney : Ninth place and into the Europa League but things looked a lot rosier a few weeks ago. Three straight wins in April lifted Mac up to 5th place but a finish of two defeats stopped the promotion dream.
David Hogg : A good end to the season, 3 straight wins lifted David into a Europa League spot. Mid season david looked well placed for promotion but a run of 6 defeats dropped him down to 15th and a relegation fight.
Bill Bailey : Bill was in the relegation fight for most of the season, 9 points from the last 12 lifted Bill out of the danger zone and up to 14th place.
Simon H : Simon had a great start and remained in the top 7 till week 8, then a run of form which saw 11 points from 36 dropped him to 16th place and only 3 points of relegation.
Penshaw Mag : Always been in the bottom 6, and with only one win in the last 6 games relegation became a formality.
Lancs Lad : A late surge to win 9 points from the last 5 games couldn’t get Simon out of the relegation zone.
Miraculous : A quick return to Division 4 for Graeme. Five straight defeats to end the season saw Graeme end the campaign 3 points adrift at the foot of the table.
DIVISION FOUR
Greg Little : Greg lifted himself from 14th place in week 10 up to 4th by virtue of 22 points from a possible 27, moving into 4th place and winning promotion.
Tony Davey : Asolid season where Tony never dropped out of the top 10 places, briefly led the table for 3 weeks mid season and finished with 3 wins in the last 4 matches. Although missed out on the cash and a top 4 four place, promotion will be achieved because of events in higher divisions.
Gavin Purvis : Gavin’s defeat in the last game brought a 6 match winning run to a halt, but like Tony will be promoted because of two players in higher divisions dropping down or out.
Sidney1 : Graham was another player never to drop below 10th spot, he’s achieved a place in the Europa League next season but the final day defeat may keep him in Division 4.
Alan1 : Following a poor start which saw Alan in the relegation zone, steady progress got him up to 11th place mid season. Five straight wins looked like winning a Europa League place before the last day defeat dropped him just outside the qualifying position.
N222JRS : John finished with 3 defeats after getting himself into a good position to kick on and get something out of the season. Will be pleased that he has stopped the run of consecutive relegations and finished above his good mate Reggie A.
Mickey Oliver : Mickey definitely carried off the great escape. He’s been in the bottom 4 for 18 weeks then with a last day win moved up to 15th and escaped the drop.
DIVISION FIVE
Partridge : Gary finished in 5th place and can blame two defeats in the last two weeks for losing out on any cash reward. Because of cup success’s for both Bill Bainbridge and Ronnie Cowie, Gary gets bumped into the Champions League qualifiers.
Malcolm Copeland : Up to week 12 Malcolm looked a good bet for European qualification and promotion but a collection of 9 points from 33 send him tumbling to 13th place and set for another campaign in Division 5.
Harry : Harry also had a good start to the season but fell away towards the end, a last day win made sure he was safe from relegation.
Adam Dodsworth : Looked like Adam was to be safe when he beat Gary Partridge in week 16 and was in 15th place, but three defeats to end the season and Adam ended up in 18th spot and now drops down into division 6.
Stev04 : Steven left himself too much to do having been in bottom spot since week9, ended the season on a high note with two wins and lifted himself to 19th but like Adam will be playing in Division 6 next season.
DIVISION SIX
David Finnon : A top 10 finish for David and in the end only 4 points adrift from a promotion place. David left his run a little late but ended with 2 wins.
Stephen Cox : Relegation looked nailed on when Stephen fell into his 6 match losing streak that ended his season. Following a bright start, Stephen headed the division in week 4 and looked good for promotion, however only two more wins were achieved.
Stephela : A poor season where Stephen was only out of the bottom 4 for one week. The season ended a lot better thn it started and the last 6 games saw 3 wins and 2 draws. Both Stephen’s could avoid relegation because normally the 7th division players usually don’t take promotion.
Steve Hanby : A great run of form saw Steve end the season with 7 wins which lifted him from 14th into the Runners Up spot and a place in the Champions League. The only time Steve appeared in the top 3 was in week 19.
